Epson India

Seiko Epson Corporation, widely known as simply - Epson, is one of the largest producers of computer printers and equipment in the world. Epson headquarters are located in Suwa, Nagano, Japan.

It was founded in 1961 with the role of building precision parts for Seiko watches. In 1964 they signed a contract with the Olympic Games to start producing precision timers. One of the requested features was an electronic printer that could print out the results during the games. This is when the company gave birth to a small printer called EP-101, which was released to the public in 1968, and was later incorporated into many calculators. In 1975, they introduced a new, upgraded version. Three years later, they brought one of the first dot-matrix printers to the market, called TX-80. In 1980, Shinshu Seiki Co. released its successor, MX-80, which went on to become the best selling printer in the U.S.

In 1982, the company officially changed the name to Epson Corporation, and three years later they merged with Suwa Seikosha Co. to form Seiko Epson Corporation.

In 1993, Epson introduced its first inkjet printer – Epson MJ-500, followed by a high-resolution printer the next year. From the company’s inception, they managed to accomplish many things including making the first laptop computer in the world, and being the first company to automatize the printer manufacturing. Nowadays, the Epson name is a synonym for high quality printers, and they are one of the world’s biggest printer producers as well. Epson makes inkjet and laser printers, as well as wireless printers and different multifunctional products. Once you become the owner of an Epson printer, one of the most important things is finding affordable and reliable Epson ink cartridges and Epson toner cartridges.
